Estimating Level 3
Those who have supervisory experience within organisations undertaking contracting and services in the disciplines of estimating, surveying, buying and planning or those who wish to develop and have their competency assessed in this occupation will benefit from this course.
On completion of this qualification and subject to the units chosen, the construction contractor will have demonstrated abilities to
• contribute to investigating construction factors affecting the project
• contribute to the preparation and submission of tenders
• evaluate graphical information and prepare schedules
• establish customer requirements, project quantities and specifications
• contribute to planning of work to meet project requirements
• contribute to establishing resource requirements for the project
• contribute to controlling contractcontribute to the processing of tenders, progress, costs and value of work
• maintain effective working relationships
• contribute to the processing of tenders
• provide information and advice for action towards meeting organisational
objectives, assess resource procurement and utilisation factors
The S/NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations can provide the basis for progression to the S/NVQ Level 4 in Construction Contracting Operations.
