Qualification summary

This qualification is structured to cater for 4 different routes within the Sub-structure Work Occupations sector. These are: Underpinning Operations (including Excavated Underpinning and Mini Piling); Dewatering (including Well Points; Deep Wells and Ejectors); Structural Waterproofing and Ground Anchors. A Mandatory Common Core applies to all disciplines.

This qualification allows candidates to acheive craft status in either of these occupations and attain a nationally recognised qualification.

Operatives through the achievement of the qualification can progress towards chargehand/team leaders/supervisors in their organisation. They can also work towards the Level 3 qualifications in Sub-Structure Work Occupations - Ground Anchors or Underpinning and/or Occupational Work Supervision.
